ROM

This past Saturday the kids were bursting with energy.  The skies were gray, the weather was cold, but we had to get them out of the house.  We needed a kid friendly outing suitable for a 10, 8 and 6 year old.  It had to be fun and indoor and give them space to run around.  Perfect idea – the ROM!

The ROM promised to have something for all of us – an opportunity to go to downtown Toronto (always a treat!), appealing to all ages, educational and lots of hands-on activities. Could the ROM pass the test?

It did and more!  The kids got busy digging for dinosaur bones, dressing up in period costumes, watching honey-bees at work and building ecosystem backyards.  When they tired of that they walked (actually, ran) through the bat caves, played hide and seek and then had a quick rest in a teepee. You’d think they were at a playground, not a museum!  (Not to worry though, we are allowed to come back!)

The best part of the outing for them might have been the ketchup vending contraption in the cafeteria.  They brought us a ton of ketchup to go with our fantastic fries.  What could be better?!!
