Eleanor Lowden - Welcome to My Worlds Solo Show
For over 30 years I have been painting the world as I see it with stories waiting to be told. My inspiration comes from everyday moments and I hope my interpretation of each sparks fun memories for the viewer. This show explores some of the worlds that have inspired my work. My fascination for people in crowds or with umbrellas has been long standing but I have also explored other series. I walk my dog Rigby every day, down the alleyway, and sometimes in the ravine near my house. I take photos wherever I go, and I gravitate to the places that have been left untouched; the older buildings that have survived gentrification. I create my own gardens on canvas, I call this series my Joyful Garden series, which are as close to abstract as I can manage right now! Enjoy!
