Ottawa Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival
In honour of National Indigenous Month each June, some of Canada’s best Indigenous talent gathers in Canada’s capital to present music, dance, theatre and more. The Ottawa Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival celebrates Indigenous peoples’ culture and heritage over the weekend closest to National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21) each year. Programming even includes a pow wow competition featuring drums and various forms of traditional dance! This free and family-friendly festival takes place in beautiful Vincent Massey Park just south of downtown Ottawa.
